A 10-month-old girl is brought to the physician because of fever and agitation for 8 hours. She had URI for 2 days. Temperature is 38.3C/100.9F, pulse 160, respiration 40, and blood pressure is 60/P. S3 gallop present. S1/S2 normal. Scattered crackles present B/L. Which is most likely explanation?

A. Bronchiolitis
B. Endocarditis
C. Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy
D. Myocarditis
E. Valve rupture

S3 and b/l crackles are good signs this kids heart is failing...2/2 to viral myocarditis (had URI for 2 days).
