Hi folks:
I submitted my secondary few weeks ago. Today I got this thin mail and of course I thought it would be a rejection. But it was a little better - they put me in the continue to review category. I am an out-of-state applicant but pretty interested in this school.
Am I the only one in this boat? Also..I am thinking about writing them an email expressing my genuine interest.
All these stuff is pretty frustrating for me. I was stupid back in my undergrad and also I think I chose a difficult, un-interesting major (Electrical Engineering) and for many other reasons, my GPA is not good. But that was 8 years ago. Now, I am a different type of student. Not to sound arrogant, but I wish I could convey what my classmates or my professors, TA think of me as a student. I am doing an honors project this semester and I get many compliments for my work. I am doing all these while working full-time and maintaining a family life.
But because of the poor undergrad numbers, I get rejected/on hold etc. I guess not everything is so bad. I have 3 interview offers. Hopefully one of them will work out.
Sorry for the digression. Best wishes all.
