Penn State Sec. Question # 6

I was just wondering about what people who got the secondary from penn state are doing for question 6. I took the MCAT for the first time last august and I think my score will be decent in all sections except the verbal were I have doubts..(version CN for those who know)..Anyway, shouold I go ahead and ask them to review my file now or should I wait for the mcat scores? what are you doing?

I think the instructions on that page say you have to wait for your MCAT scores to be evaulated. I am still awaiting to hear from them about not remembering my SAT scores from 12 years ago.

i never took the august 03 mcat
nor did i ever plan on it

however
when i was just fooling around with the penn state essay
i accidently just clicked on a random answer for this question

NOW
I HAVE NO WAY OF UNCLICKING IT

so when you read the question
and answer no
it makes the reader assume that i took the august mcat

i tried logging in and out
nothing erases that stupid mark
and even if you don't save
its still there when you sign in again

any suggestions???

I don't remember my exact ACT scores. Will it be a big deal if I'm off my one point? Are people using their combined highest Verbal and Math score for their SAT score. Damn, asking these questions feels like I'm applying to undergrad all over again.

I think the question applies mostly to retakers of the MCAT.

In other words, they are asking if they should review your file with the old MCAT score or if they shoud wait around for the new score. In some cases, people may be confident enough in their old scores for PSU that it's okay to go ahead and start the review process.

If you took the MCAT in August for the first time, they are going to wait either way.

your situation sounds really odd. If the problem remains even after logging-out and doing the restarting bit, I'd probably contact PState admissions and notify them of the problem.

Kownell, when I called the admissions staff the lady on the other end asked me to guestimate my SAT scores. I was a bit shocked and I kindly said I don't remember them. I also said that if I guessed then I would guess high and wouldn't that be unethical? She agreeded and said that a supervisior has to email me or call me. That was yesterday and its the only thing I have left on my secondary.

Right click on the Internet Explorer icon (make sure it?s not just a short cut, you?ll know because you won?t see anything I am talking about) and select properties.

Next click Delete Cookies (This should correct your situation)

For good measure also clear the history and delete files. This is just a cache that loads the web pages faster and gives you the pull down on the address bar but what the heck.

Thanks for doing that Robz. Could you please post on here what the final outcome is. I too am waiting only on that part of the app.

I tried leaving the question blank because I'm not taking the August MCAT, but the application couldn't be submitted without answering it. So I just told them to review my app now. I figure I can't lose that way.
