I was curious what Penn's wait list leter looked like? I am in Tier 1 waitlist and my letter said that I am at the very top of the list. Does everyone in Tier 1 have this in their letter?

I was in Tier 2, and it said that my chances of being accepted were "rather unlikely."

I am on the tier one waitlist and that is all it says. "your position on the waistlist in is the first tier"
your letter says that your position is at the top of the first tier?

thats seems strange, since they say there is no individual rank on the waitlist---whats the wording of your letter?

thanks

I'm with you, Dr. L (and how many others??), on the 'very top of the first tier' of PENN's waitlist. Wondering too what that means, exactly? Should we continue to hold out hope???

that sounds really good to me! i would definately be psyched.

You can add me to the list of those whose letters reads: "On the very top" (underlined). It also says how I could be one of the first admitted off the waitlist--Dr. L & inanna--it looks like we have the same letter, right ??

I'd have hope though--I think Penn goes to their waitlist a lot each year...

Best of luck all!

Thanks for the info...I just got back from spring break and checked SDN, and now I'm really excited. The letter had the underlined "on the top of the list" so I'm keeping my hopes up. PENN is my absolute first choice and it seems that their list is at least somewhat ranked.

Man!

Add me to the 'top of the tier' ppl. Grr. how sweet of them to boiler-plate a tier 1 letter. *sigh*

Would anyone who was waitlisted tier 1, and DIDN'T receive the 'very top of the tier 1' message on their letter (It didn't say so on the web-page) please say so? I'm curious if many people at all DIDN'T get the message if they were tier 1.

I'm not on the top of the tier, so I guess I'm f#cked.

Eh you guys should just be thankful yours doesn't say "it is very unlikely you will be accepted", and if so maybe in July or August. I don't see how such a pitiful waitlist spot is any better than a rejection.

Any of you guys is as fed up with waitlists as I am? These damn lists are just a big tease. Keep us hopeful and destroy us later.

(BUMPITY-BUMP)

Dr. L--

I am soooo psyched that you are at the tippy-top of Penn's wait list--you definitely deserve to be there, and I think that it is the place for you.

Just imagine--a great med school, philly cheese steaks, and all the cinnamon buns you can eat! :)

I wonder how their macaroons are??? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" />

well, I am a big fan of coconut...I don't know about the macaroons but Philly definitely has plenty of good food!
