Peri/neonatology

    Hey everyone...could someone tell me the difference in these two fields? Thanks!

    I think peri deals with premature babies but I'm not 100% sure on that

    Perinatologists = Maternal/Fetal Medicine specialists (ie OB-Gyns who have done a fellowship in MFM)

    Neonatologists = Newborn specialists (ie pediatricians who have done a fellowship in neonatal medicine)

    Both work with one another, think as them as a continium of care.
