1. Hello, I am trying to find out the answer to this question: Where is the skinniest/thinnest amount of attached gingiva? Where is it thickest? Is there a ranking of this?

2. My suggested answer:

a. Skinniest: Lower PM Lingual, , then lower Incisors, Facial

Thickest: Man Molar lingual.

Thanks

Bowers 1963: A Study of the Width of Attached Gingiva, J Perio
In the maxilla, from anterior to posterior the width decreases around the cuspid and first bicuspid and then slightly increases thereafter. In the mandible, from anterior to posterior the width decreases greatly around the cuspid and first bicuspid, then increases until decreasing slightly at the second molar. It is thinnest around the facial of the mandibular first bicuspid and thickest facial of the maxillary centrals. Is this a multiple choice boards question?

The palate is all attached gingiva... so the palatal side of any maxillary tooth wins for most amount of attached gingiva.
