Hey all,

I've already pre-written a draft for the general "Challenge" secondary prompt about a significant hurdle I faced in my research.

I was just looking through specific school challenge prompts, and I noticed that for Case Western it asks you to, "Describe a significant personal challenge you have faced, one which you feel has helped to shape you as a person."

Since it is asking for a PERSONAL challenge, does that mean I should NOT use my pre-written response about a research challenge, since that doesn't seem to be personal?

Thanks!

Does your prewritten challenge deal with how it shaped you as a person? I’m thinking it’s more professional or academic but only you know if it answers the question. If it doesn’t, don’t use it! Or at least I wouldn’t.

The essay does address how the challenge affected me personally and my overall approach to adversity, but I am unsure if the nature of the challenge itself needs to be personal rather than professional.

Would anyone be willing to take a look at my essay and let me know if it can work as a "personal challenge?"

Thanks!
