(California) Pretty recently I made a huge mistake and was arrested and booked for stealing $105 worth at Target. I was then charged with a petty theft misdemeanor. My court date is in a couple of months. After a lot of research, I learned that my best option is to keep from getting convicted and hopefully get started on a diversion program and get my case dismissed, although it will still always be on my record. My question is, 2 years from now when I begin applying to pharmacy schools, will I still have a change if I was never convicted and my case was dismissed? And another few years down the line will I be able to get licensed if I make sure I have no more charges on my record? Thank you.
