PGY-3 opening at BCM/UT Houston

I'm an incoming PGY-2 and just found out there will be an opening in the PGY-3 class starting this July in the program

do you know the story behind the open pgy3 position? disgruntled resident left? female resident taking a year off b/c of baby? resident fired? program expanding position numbers? just being flat out nosey.

The resident wanted to be closer to his fiancee in the East so he took an IM position there.

wow, what a great opportunity for someone!! how easy/difficult is it for someone to switch programs like that (going from one pm&r program to another)?
