Hi everyone,

I have around a 3.3 overall gpa. Can anyone suggest any pharmacy schools I should look into that require the PCATs with those stats? Thanks.

all the texas schools, some florida schools.

A 3.3 gpa is not bad at all! I believe you can apply to any school you want with the exception of this one school that had a minimum gpa of 3.5 for out-of-state residents (sorry I can't recall which school that was any longer). All schools will list what their minimum gpa is and if you are above that, I see no reason why you shouldn't apply if that's where you want to go and especially if you rock the PCAT.

The school with the 3.5 out of state minimum was Purdue.

Most schools require PCATs nowadays except Cali schools. You should look at Pharmcas.org and choose which schools you want to apply to by evaluating certain criterias that are important to you such as location, public or private. also look at each school's requirements, make sure you have/will fulfill these. most school's cut-off gpas are in the 2.5-3.0 range so you should be fine with that.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I am a reapplicant this year that only applied to California schools last year. So it's time I broaden my horizons with PCAT-requiring schools. Thanks again.
