Philadelphia Housing

Hey guys -- I'm going to be a new student at Drexel next year. I was wondering if somebody could give me tips as far as places to live.......

I know that I'm going to be spending the majority of my life in a classroom/library, so I'd definetly like to be in a place that has things going on....and by things I mean nightlife somewhat nearby.

Any recommendations?

How much should I expect to pay in rent?

Does anybody in Philadelphia buy? For what it's worth, buying a place instead of throwing away $40,000 in rent over 4 years with nothing to show for it kind of seems like a decent idea.....

Live in Manayunk. Tons of Drexel people live there. Fun town, close to everything, roommate opportunities there, close to public transport. Living downtown is $$$ but also a ton of fun. Check out places near the Art Museum...also not too far from Drexel. PM if I can help more
