    Hi everyone,

I was researching some specialties that I hadn't really heard much about before, and I stumbled upon this one. I was wondering if anyone has any personal experience with docs in this field (either professionally or as a patient). I've looked around online already and found some general info, but I'm curious to learn more about specifically what kind of work PM&R involves and what the lifestyle is like. If anyone has any insight to offer, that would be awesome..thanks!

Well the joke is that PM&R stands for "Plenty of Money and Rest" so the lifestyle must be pretty good. These docs helped my grandmother recover from a stroke and a friend who was paralyzed in a diving accident to learn to get around. I think it must take a special person to do this type of good work.
