Physician from India

I have been doing research for for a professor who is from India. She has a relative in India who is a physician and wants to relocate to the US. She asked me if I knew any info on what he would have to do (ie. exams to take, residencies?) to get licensed in the US. Does anyone have any info on this. Is here a website (ie the AMA) that lists all the requirements).
