I am a freshman pre-med and I really need advice on when to take my physics courses. Typically pre-meds at my college take physics during their junior year, however the physics dept. decided to only offer physics 1 during the spring semester starting next year. The pre health advisor at my school reccommended that I take physics 1 next year in the spring and then physics 2 in the fall of my junior year. I really do not want to take physics next year though, because I will be taking ochem2 with a lab, a biology writing/lab class, statistics, another psychology class for my major and a 1 credit academic planning class. That would be 19 credits! :scared: The classes I am planning on taking in the spring are prereqs for other classes that I need to take....

So would it hurt me to take physics 1 in the spring of my junior year when I actually have the time? Would I be prepared for the MCAT with only 1 semester of physics? Or I could take physics between my sophomore and junior year and physics 2 the following fall?!

I took AP Physics C Mechanics last year and did well in the class but opted not to take the AP exam.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
