I'll be 36 weeks pregnant with my fourth child for a medical school interview at the end of November. I need help as to not look frumpy.

Some considerations: I have pre-eclampsia so I need to hide the 2+-3+ pitting edema in my legs, ankles, and feet. I also have a PEG tube (from hyperemesis gravidarum) that I need to tactfully blend in. I'm thinking that renting a maternity suite or dress is the way to go. I found this site that I'm thinking of borrowing a few items from. What items do you guys think would be appropriate? I do not want to underdress.

CONGRATS 🙂

I went to the site you posted and actually the first thing that came up on "suit" link "Front Tie Blazer" looks great. Makes me want to get pregnant.

At 36 weeks there ain't much room to hide things so trying to go with a traditional suite may look silly.

As for a dress, I'd say no because you are almost forced to do heels and I doubt your feet would like you after that.

Good luck!!!

I second that--the "Front Tie Blazer" looks great. 👍 I'd pair that up with the "Slim Trousers," a simple blouse, and flats.

Good luck and congrats on your fourth little one! 🙂

Thank you!

I think that is a good choice too. It would even hide the PEG tube (not that I care but don't want a zillion questions about what is under my shirt since it's located right above my navel). I definitely can't do heels at this point. My toes are like little sausages. Ewe.

I'll try to post pictures for all the future pregnant ladies attending interviews!

You should totally get pregnant, BTW! 😛

Whatever you do..dont wear heels! lol I have to agree with the above I like the front tie blazer as well. The whole outfit the model is wearing is very nice and won't make you look frumpy at all. pair it will a nice black flat.

Congrats on your pregnancy!

👍 My husband and I have talked and might even make the occasion a "baby moon" since I don't think that it is a good idea for me to travel four hours away from home alone at nine months pregnant. Hopefully, I look sexy in the "Front Tie Blazer!"

I have nothing to contribute to this thread (I'm male), but I just want to say that I couldn't even imagine what it would be like to take care of four children while going to undergrad, let alone medical school. I salute you. 🙂 Sometimes I think of how busy I am (and I live at home) when there are people like you out there.

I wish you the best of luck on your interviews. 🙂
