As some of you may have noticed, the new BRS Pathology book has these really great color photos all throughout the book that look great. I have the older addition that has black and white photos, but am wondering (from anyone who's taken the exam) if they think it would be prudent to get the new addition, or if the photos in the back of FA are good enough?

I've heard that over the past few years the exam has gotten a little more "photo heavy", so I want to be able to recognize Renal Cell Carcinoma when I see it!

If you don't feel that FA was enough, is there another photo source someone might be able to recommend?

Robbins Review of Pathology is an excellent resource for getting to know the histopathology and gross pathology of all the conditions that could be tested with photos on step I.

The NBME exams are also photo-heavy, so if you did not originally plan to incorporate these tests in your prep, I would highly recommend that you do so.

Although great idea not worth your time, instead if you do robbins qbank you will see plenty, also RR, FA will provide you enough. Be wise in time management sure its great to do a lot of work to be ready but its not worth spending a lot of time on something that won't be as difficult to get around.
