Pitt Acceptance! No "correspondence sent" message...

Here's an update, for whatever it's worth...
My application status page still says "Your confirmed appointment date is ... September 17th."
However, I just got an email from my student interviewer congratulating me on my acceptance! So, I would deduce that the "correspondence sent" message on the status check that I've heard people mention doesn't provide any conclusive evidence yet.

My guess is that that's the most reliable info we've had so far. CONGRATULATIONS!!

My webpage still says the same thing as wahoo's and I also just got an email from my student interviewer. I plan to decline the acceptance. Hopefully one of you out there will get it.

Maybe our student interviewers are major slackers/procrastinators, who haven't gotten round to e-mailing us yet. Whatchy think? I'm trying to keep the hope alive.

How about everybody else? Did you get e-mails from your Pitt student interviewers?

Nope, I have not heard anything from Pitt yet. I interviewed in mid-November.

I interviewed in early September, didn't keep in touch with my student interviewer (she didn't really give me much of a chance to either - although the interview went well)...needless to
say no e-mail.

1/3 interviewees get in, and only two people on this board have heard so far, and a hell of a lot more than 6 of us interviewed. so i would expect that a lot of us will be hearing some way or another soon.

My student interviewer just emailed me. I am shocked but somehow I got in after a really bad interview with the faculty member. Pitt is an amazing school and I really liked it while I was there. However, I will most likely decline my acceptance because I think I would rather be in New York than Pittsburgh.

I also got an eMail from my interviewer congratulating me. We didn't keep in touch, but i thought he was a really cool guy. I'm gonna give Pitt some serious thought as it really is a great school and overlooked by most gunners who prefer names. --Trek

Well, I never got an e-mail from my student interviewer, but when i finally went downstairs to may mail today, there was a letter from Dean Curtiss - I'm in...without any "correspondence sent" on my staus page.

Congrats. I feel pretty certain that the "correspondence sent" is in fact the thin "sorry" letter. Would love for someone to contradict me here and say they got in with that message.

Congrats on those who got in...I can't say I'm not a bit disappointed though. I got one of the early interviews without an application review, thought both my interviews went really well. First of all, Congratulations to Everyone who got in!!! You should be very proud of your accomplishments. BTW, I have a quick question.
My boyfriend interviewed at Pitt on Feb 4th, and his last name begins w/ an 'R'. Can you speculate as to whether he still has a chance to get the e-mail, or if he is SOL? Thanks a lot for your time and input.

I got in too! I did not get an email but I did get a big envelope in the mail today. No correspondence sent message. I have some tough choices to make now. I really loved Pittsburgh.

this really is being a bit too drawn out and dramatic. Here's the warm reply I got from student interviewer upon my inquiry to her:

I am doing fine and my first year is going well, although it's currently
busy at the moment because of an upcoming exam.
To my knowledge, PittMed sent out their first batch of acceptance letters
this week.? I THINK they will be sending out? more batches in the future,
so hopefully, your letter will be amongst the pile....I really hope you get
in!!

Well.... I interviewed at PITT in December and still havent received anything in the mail, via email, and no change on status check. I dont know what that means... but the wait is killing me. Well... maybe the mail takes a little longer to come to Northern California from Pennsylvania.

Any other Californians still waiting for something in the mail? How about those elsewhere?

i guess we might have to wait a bit longer.. let me know if you hear anything..

Mail takes FOREVER to get to get from Pittsburgh to California. In the past, congratulatory emails/phone calls have been up to the discretion of the interviewer.

I got my acceptance letter too on Thursday and I didn't get an email. I live in Los Angeles.
