Anyone currently enrolled in University of Pittsburgh's MPH program? Is the school worth the hefty price tag (for OOS)?

Also, is it true that Pennsylvania does not consider "students" as in state residents after a year even if you own/rent an apartment? Do you have to work there for a year?

For your second question I believe this is the information you are looking for: http://www.bc.pitt.edu/students/tuitionguide.html

As for your first, while I am at Pitt I am not a GSPH student (though I do go in their building occasionally) my understanding is that they are regarded as an excellent school in the field. Given that, in your shoes what I'd be asking myself is whether I feel an MPH is worth that much money rather than Pitt in particular. I would not hesitate to attend for, say, an Ms or PhD.

Thanks for your help! I was hoping to get my PhD after working in the field of public health for a couple of years (hopefully a research job!). I think I will be attending Pitt in the fall!
