Pretty tall order. I suggest you check out the various web sites devoted to Plastic Surgery for detailed information. Check:
http://www.abfprs.org/
American Board of Facial Plastic Surgery
http://www.surgery.org/
American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
http://www.plasticsurgery.org

For training, there are two models:

The traditional, Independent model which requires 2-3 years of additional training beyond at least 3 years of Gen Surg residency or an Ortho residency

The newer, Integrated model matches students at PGY1 level for either a 3+3, 3+2 or 4+2 residency combined with General Surgery. These programs are highly competitive and difficult to get into (but some of us still try!).

Hope this helps.

Best site I've found is ...
http://members.nbci.com/tramflap/index.htm

It gives a lot of good info -- esp. about combo programs.

Many people still consider it more "prestigious" to do the traditional track, but the combo tracks are becoming more and more popular.

That is a good site with lots of links. However, keep in mind that the program database hasn't been updated in nearly 2 years, so you would be well advised to check with individual programs about what they offer. Even FREIDA isn't up to date.
