As a long-time reader/ contributer to SDN, I was hoping for a little feedback... any comments/suggestions are welcome (especially from those who have already taken Step I). Thanks guys and gals!

My Books list:

- FA: primary source for biochem, micro, anatomy, pharm
- BRS Path
- BRS Physio (but concentrating on what's in FA)
- HY Micro (predominantly for the clinical cases, but using FA as the primary source)
- HY Cell and Molecular Bio (just the first 4 chapters to supplement FA)
- Pharm Recall (primarily using First Aid, but Recall for more concepts/ understanding. Of course supplementing with Lippincotts when totally lost)
- BRS Behavioral Sciences (but FA as primary source of equations, facts; using BRS mostly for questions)

My Question sources:

- QBank (trying to get through the whole thing once in the next two months, and then do it again during boards prep)
- IV QBank (will try to do at least some of it, probably more towards the end)
- Robbins Review of Pathology (have been doing the questions along with path class, but plan to re-do all of the sections during boards studying; particularly for the organ systems)
- WebPath (have been doing these more or less during path class; probably won't do the regular MC during boards studying, but might do the questions with images)
- Kaplan QBook (will do these during boards prep time; will try to get through most of the questions)
- Lange Microbiology and Immunology - the questions in the back
- PreTest: Integrated Basic Sciences (only if I have time)

Thanks again for all of your input! 🙂

Here is what i would change - take off - pharm recall, IV qbank, Webpath.

Add - clinical micro made ridiculously simple. Rest looks fine. Also check out this other thread posted recently Top Ranked books per subject on Step 1

Thanks Viper 🙂. I've actually tried using micro ridiculously simple, and i absolutely hate that book. Instead, i'm using HY Micro and the Micro questions in the Lange book.

I think my biggest concern is actually pharm - i think i'm the weakest in that, because our school doesn't really teach pharm. How do you guys go about memorizing all the drug specifics? There just seems to be way too much information...!!!

One day at a time. I bought Lange PharmCards and just highlighted what's in First Aid.

For pharm, honestly FA is enough. Just memorize it again and again for it. That is good enough for pharm, don't waste your time elsewhere.

for micro, if you don't like MRS, check out microcards by lippincott - very nice.

good luck,
