Would this

be considered a typical residency curriculum for rotations or do they vary from program to program? Any input from current students, residents and attendings will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

This is pretty typical of most programs. They do vary from program to program but certain off rotations are required by the CPME. At my program, they are as follows:

PGY-1: 1 month medicine, 1 month ID, 1 month general sx, 1 month vascular
PGY-2: 3 months ortho trauma, 1 month ER, 1 month plastics
PGY-3: 3 months ortho peds

Thanks jonwill. Just curious, what do they mean by on a "case-by- case basis"? I mean in the context of rotations.

Inova is pretty similar to DMC in the way of rotations and timing.

Case by case - may mean elective , as in each resident gets to choose if they want to do this rotation or that.
