Please give opinion on MCAT test date

I'm currently scheduled for July 18. However, I'm just not getting enough done fast enough with working two jobs. I think I really need to push the date back 4 weeks. How much will this hurt me? Is an August date not as bad now since scores are released a bit sooner? I know earlier is better, but I also know an early bad score won't do you any good.

Advice? Opinions?

Same here. I am registered for July 18th. I might be ready by then, but if I take it August 5, I really think those extra 17 days will be very useful.

Any thoughts out there?

Take the MCAT only when you're ready. Don't let the admissions process rush you. An early application will NOT make up for a bad MCAT score.
