I'm trying to find more research-oriented schools with an international vision, but there're so many of such schools, especially at the top! I'm also trying to have a nice balance of schools within my reach. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Can't be of TOO much help, but:

1. Georgia SOM only matriculated 2 OOS applicants last year
2. Brown, as I'm sure others on here will tell you, hardly admits OOS applicants, either. Most are admitted through other routes (BS/MD, etc.)

Good luck to you!

Awesome, I'll drop Brown and Georgia from my list then. Thanks guys.

@ pelliper: Why drop UCDavis?

Also, any other inpus on which schools are more focused on international medicine? I'm possibly looking to go into the international fields in the future.

lol, i'm from the mystical country of Canada. Y'know, where we do nothing but hug trees?

Do you think I should take out some of the California schools? I'm already taking out Davis.

Thank you for the link btw. They recommended Ohio State, so I'll be sure to add that in to the list of possibilities.

Do you think I should take out my interest in international medicine in my personal statement since most schools would like their trained doctors to stay in their state?

Oh sorry, I missed the "Cdn" in the original post. Unfortunately I am not as well informed about good schools to apply to for international applicants. But here are some links I found that may help you:

I would double check with specific schools to make sure their policies have not changed. Also I would pay special attention to schools that consider Canadian applicants on the same footing as US (or OOS) applicants.

I need to cut down a few more. We're almost thereeeee. Cut down ~4 more and then I can let the applications loose.

Have you taken two semesters of calc per harvard's demands?
(some people are caught off guard by this requirement)

yep, have taken those.

i might take it again this year though, because some universities didn't like the fact that i took those courses at the UK.

i'll probably figure something out within the next few days.

thanks guys!!!
