I'd drop URochester unless you're totally in love with the school, and BU might be worth dropping. I would consider keeping Tufts, because they combine your mcat scores to make the best possible composite score.
Northwestern and Case are both probably stretches.

I would also recommend dropping BU. They received 11,000 secondaries (not initial amcas submissions) this past year. They make an initial cut of about half that number...around 5,000. They look at these applicant files in more depth. Of that 5,000 they select 1,000 for interview. The class size is around 160 I believe.

Don't get me wrong. I really like BU a lot. It's just that with such a high number of applicants they make cuts based on the littlest things. I just think you should increase your chances of getting into a school you love by using that money to apply to another med school.

Any chance you'll retake the MCAT? Your GPAs are amazing, the only thing holding you back from some of the competitive schools on your list is your MCAT.

Best of luck :)

That's what happens when a secondary doesn't ask any essay questions. Everybody applies because it takes so little time to do so.

that was already my second time taking the mcat and i dont think i will take it again... I really love boston as a city thats why I am applying there.

I would drop Marshall unless you have ties to WV. You might also consider Penn State and Virginia Commonwealth.... both are pretty friendly to OOS students. Since you have so many state schools in Ohio, you probably don't need to apply to 30 schools.

Does that mean that anyone whose first MCAT is ok should do the opposite, drop Tuft to keep BU? Thanks

do you guys think i am aming to high

what i mean is do you think there is too many mid-tiers on my list and not enough low-tier?

i still am a little confused as what a mid-tier or top-tier is truly defined upon....is it incoming freshman stats? residency matches?

are these classifications completely skewed for combined degree programs?
