when entering your coursework on secondary applications, for year of a course, do you put the year of that semester or the year that the academic year started? For example, for a class taken in 2003 in the spring, would you put Spring 2002 since it is part of the 2002 academic year? That's how AMCAS does it I think... thanks!!

Go with the semester that the course was actually taken. I believe that on your transcript, it will list courses as being the semester the semester the course was taken (ie Fa/06 or Sp/07), so you'd want to keep it congruent with that.
