please help regarding original b.d.s degree

hi....
I have completed my b.d.s from ghaziabad (u.p) this yr and got provisional degree from chaudhary charan singh university(c.c.s), meerut on 4th april 2012. i will applying to this year caapid cycle and i am facing the following problems:-

1) my university gives original degree after 3years from provisional degree, they do not accept any requests. so in case if got accepted to D.D.S program then i wont be able to produce the final degree to U.S dental school next year. plz help if anyone facing similar problem or faced similar problem

2) other thing is that, do i require to submit provisional degree or final degree copy to ECE or not.

3) also my university exams were delayed every year and this resulted in 6 months gap from the date i graduated to the date i should have graduated normally. my question is that ECE may treat this gap as my suppl. and eventually my gpa will go down. I talked to my university but they denied writing any such gap certificate. as this is totally university's fault, what should i do?

i am totally messed up by my university rules and regulations.....kindly help with appropriate solution:::confu sed:

You only need to send ECE your Marks Card and Internship Completion... rest of the questions I do not know. Best of Luck!

As far as I know all or most schools need the copy of the original degree certificate and don't accept provisional, though ECE needs only Mark sheets and internship completion( but I had sent a copy of my degree certificate too) like Dental utopia said.
and the delay in graduation won't be a prob.Your GPA will go down if your no of attempts is more than once and according to your scores.

You can easily get your gpa from ece without the original degree but every college requires the original degree not just before starting the course but also during the application phase. i will be getting my degree after two weeks and i couldn't apply last year because of that. Having said that i think tufts and UCLA do consider provisional degrees initially but there is no way you can start the programme without the submitting the original degree. Talk to higher officials at the university personally. All the best

I agree.
you will need to call individual schools.
are you in touch with any seniors from your university that faced similar problems?
theirexperiences might help you.

thank you bombaybds......but my batch was 2nd passing batch of my college( MY COLLEGE IS NEW, JUST 7 yrs old), so none from my batch and my senior's batch even applied to dds programs in U.S

Hi,
I can understand your problem as I was in same boat last year.I had everything part 1 n 2,.experience but as I did not having original degree(I had degree certificate and provisional ), i could nt apply to any dental school in usa.Believe me u wouldn't be able to apply to any college.Before you apply to CAAPID make sure you have degree.talk to any link political link or offer them money..Do everything you can do to get your degree.If your are in india then still you can put efforts but dont wait too long.Good luck n take care.
