I apologize if I am repeating my question. I need to apply to ~ 40 MD schools, however with my unbalanced stats, and sorry for the long list I can’t make a good decision. Please provide your expert opinion if I consider my high GPA or my MCAT score to choose the reach, target, or safe list. MCAT or GPA, which one is a more substantial factor to select the students?

You have a very good application and I think this is a pretty good list for you. You have some schools on there that are definite reaches (Duke, Michigan, Pitt) but you also have enough targets on there. I think you maybe forgot UCSF from the california schools?

I would make sure to look at the OOS stats for some of the state schools (Iowa, OSU, Penn State; they may take OOS but usually they end up being higher stat applicants).

I suggest these schools from your list:

Thank you so much for providing your expert opinion. When we are exploring MCAT and GPA data for each school, which one should we consider? All Accepted or All Matriculated?
