this generally seems like a good site but...
BEWARE!!!
After looking at my own school, I realized how old the input is... I would say about three or four years.
People were still discussing the bankruptcy issues of MCP Hahnemann, which was LONG AGO... let me assure everyone (since misinformation is rampant, and still no one seems to quite understand), MCP HAHNEMANN (NEE DREXEL UNIVERSITY) IS INDEED MORE THAN FINANCIALLY SECURE, AND HAS BEEN FOR QUITE SOME TIME. Sorry to go off on a tangent, but I'm sick of premeds that spout misinformation about my school. ONCE AGAIN, MCP HAHNEMANN (DREXEL) IS FINANCIALLY STABLE.
FYI... if some of you are wondering why we are NOW changing our name to Drexel University College of Medicine, this is nothing new. Let me assure you this is NOT an indicator that we are financially unstable... actually it's quite to the contrary. Our association with Drexel began 3-4 years ago after the bankruptcy problems. We were associated with Drexel with the caveat that after a specified period of time, if both parties were willing, that we would permanently merge with Drexel University. To make a long story short, that time period recently passed, and it was voted that we would indeed merge, hence the name change. It's quite a symbiotic relationship actually... we get the backing of an established university that helped to support us financially over the past couple years (not that we need it now anyway since we're in the black), and they get an established medical school that's been around for over 150 years.
Anyway, beware when looking at this website since it seemed to me that some of the info was 3-4 years old.
