It would be nice if SDN had an annual medical school rating from their posters and readers.

wow. someone from BU said "Don't come unless this is the only school that accepts you."

and I applied to BU too <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />

these surveys are done by 4th years who've just graduated from that school. I think they provide some valuable info as long as you remember that many have a very small sample size &lt;10 or even &lt;5. Be wary of those reviews.

that is a great idea, but the sample suize for each school is way too small.

I agree, there are too few reviews for most of the schools which means they can be skewed depending on what portion of the class responds to the survey. Either way, at least something is better than nothing.

i like the site and find it useful.

Hi! What's the link to this website????

the link is on the very first post

even though the sample was small, i would say the jefferson survey was accurate.

thanks for the link, its great.

this generally seems like a good site but...

BEWARE!!!

After looking at my own school, I realized how old the input is... I would say about three or four years.

People were still discussing the bankruptcy issues of MCP Hahnemann, which was LONG AGO... let me assure everyone (since misinformation is rampant, and still no one seems to quite understand), MCP HAHNEMANN (NEE DREXEL UNIVERSITY) IS INDEED MORE THAN FINANCIALLY SECURE, AND HAS BEEN FOR QUITE SOME TIME. Sorry to go off on a tangent, but I'm sick of premeds that spout misinformation about my school. ONCE AGAIN, MCP HAHNEMANN (DREXEL) IS FINANCIALLY STABLE.

FYI... if some of you are wondering why we are NOW changing our name to Drexel University College of Medicine, this is nothing new. Let me assure you this is NOT an indicator that we are financially unstable... actually it's quite to the contrary. Our association with Drexel began 3-4 years ago after the bankruptcy problems. We were associated with Drexel with the caveat that after a specified period of time, if both parties were willing, that we would permanently merge with Drexel University. To make a long story short, that time period recently passed, and it was voted that we would indeed merge, hence the name change. It's quite a symbiotic relationship actually... we get the backing of an established university that helped to support us financially over the past couple years (not that we need it now anyway since we're in the black), and they get an established medical school that's been around for over 150 years.

Anyway, beware when looking at this website since it seemed to me that some of the info was 3-4 years old.

watcha, I thought you left?
