What's a good head & neck anatomy book/atlas to buy? Any input is greatly appreciated.
Please list only books that are used in dental school. And specify your school name.
Thanks

Hollinshead's Textbook of Anatomy

This book is used by ALL U.Washington Medical and Dental students. There is lots of praise about it on amazon.com. I'll let you know the scoop when I get it next week.

netter's anatomy atlas is good and if you want a general anatomy book, human anatomy and physiology by Elaine Marieb is an excellent resource as well.

Gerard J. Tortora- Principles of Human Anatomy with Atlas

Can't stress enough the excellence of this book. What makes this book stand out is the way it presents the info so you can remember it!

NETTERS, NETTERS NETTERS!!!! (Atlas of Human Anatomy)

By far the Anatomy Bible of the field!!!

Thanks a lot. I'm bored out of my mind. So, an anatomy book is definitely help until school starts.

Desi,
Is the Hollinhead's text a head & neck or is it a gross anatomy book?
I found a Hollinhead's head & neck on amazon. It's the most popular one so far.

Pi-Guy,
And the Netter atlas, I would like to know your opinions about its CD-ROM. As it's $50 extra for the book with CD-ROM. I always like books with CD-ROM. But some reviews on amazon don't sound too positive.
Thanks

Tink,

Hollinshead's is a overall anatomy book with ample emphasis on head and neck, I believe. However, you can't go wrong with getting just the head & neck one since in dental school you will focus more on that region.
