Greetings,

I am seeking information about moving to Australia and taking up a job in Australia as a PMO.

My situation is very unique and will read the post here to understand the Australian system, however, I want to post my questions up as well.

ECFMG Certified, All USMLEs completed, 2 years Prelim Surgery Training from US completed in 2011
Have Michigan Medical License
Have LMCC from Canada
Have Canadian Citizenship
Unofficial Research for 2 years with secondary publications from 2011 to 2013
Family Medicine clinic assistant 2013-2015
Working as physcian assistant now 2015-2019 in medicine

Going to Australia via Competent Authority Pathway interviewing for

Primary Medical Officer in a Hospital now...

As a Primary Medical Officer am I practicing independently or under someone... meaning after I round on the patients and formulate a plan, do I run the plan by someone else or am I responsible ultimately?
Via Competent Authority Pathway, I will have 1 year provisional Registration, and will I automatically get General Registration after a Year?
What does a General Registration after a Year mean?
What type of Visa do I go to Australia with for the 1 year and what happens if the hospital I am working for ends the contract in between?
What if after one year they do no renew my contract?
What is the meaning of a PMO... when do I become a specialist or apply for specialist in i.e respirtory, GI, haematology etc..?
What is the take home income if salary is $100K/yr?
How is the health care system in Australia? Is it free or do I have to pay extra for myself and family?
If I have special medications that are provided for my daughter in Canada, will that be available in Australia?
Would someone practicing in Australia being an IMG there please message me privately with your number and I would like to speak with you directly.

Sorry if the answers for majority of these questions are already available, but I am curious to post this sooner than later.

Thank you.
