That's sometimes difficult to answer, because at my school, you submit your letters to the committee, and they decide which letters to send. They will not tell you whose they sent either.

So maybe you should edit your post to say "submitted" instead of "send."

Hey katiep, thanks for the input. I changed it to "submit" on the thread title and outer message, but I can't edit it on the actual poll box. i'm sure it's more clear now.

Isn't the average just only 3 right? And i have seen that most schools just want a committee letter, so thats only one, and then maybe one for a significant research experience, etc. Hmm, maybe the adcoms dont want to read that many letters anymore. . .

6 letters which went to a committee member which wrote another letter so i guess 7 total.
