Poll: Pitt MD vs Tufts MD/PhD

What would you do??

Go to Pitt for straight MD program or Tufts for fully-funded MSTP position.

thats easy.

Do you want to do MSTP or not? that's the real question. If you are hesitant from doing MSTP, i'd say don't do it. it's grueling. if you are gung-ho MSTP, then take the chance whatever school it may be. if you are worried about the institutions name, i think that's less important than your ph.d ADVISORS name.
good luck. it's a big decision, think long and hard about it.

I agree with the poster above. If you want MSTP, then do it. If you have any doubts, then go regular MD.

I couldn't say it better. It's a no brainer. If you really want the MD/PhD route then you should definitely follow your heart. If on the other hand you're not sure that that's what you want, then go to Pitt. It however becomes a more complex question if your intention is to try to join Pitts MSTP in the 2nd cycle.
