It's very early for me in the application timeline (likely applying next cycle), but I was wondering which schools are considerations for the future. I have a good science gpa and a decent amount of research. I have not take the mcat yet, but I do have a 6-month period devoted for it in my plans. I don't have a good idea of out of state schools (MD and DO) in my range and I would like to know if their are any you advise. I live in California
Total GPA: 3.77
Science GPA: 3.8 (no upper div science work except neuroscience)
Research: Capstone Thesis/ 350-400 hours of research when completed,
Clinical/ Around 360 hours from a hospital program, shadowing physicians, and mission trips
EC: Probably around 150 hours distributed around 3-4 activities
Background:
BS in Psychology
4W's & 1C
Asian American, 20, growing UC school
Both Parents are Physicians
Upward GPA Trend
Most EC is leadership,community,tutoring based
Senior Thesis is research in cognitived psych/neuro based, if that helps. When completed I hope to present it in a conference
