Post-baccalaureate programs in southern California

USC:
-accepts 6 students each yr

-Help them with their DAT and pre-req science courses
-acceptance is not guaranteed however historically accepted 100% of their post-baccalaureate students

This is an excellent opportunity for those of us who have been rejected already...Although, the acceptance is not guaranteed and we'll be delayed by one yr:(
I'm sure they receive a lot of applications...southern California schools, are you kidding...lol..
 
Can we still apply if we're not an under-represented minority? Or is it not worth it?

a bit of correction:

USC, Loma Linda and UCLA each accepted 5 student last year, and I believe this will be the trend going forward. UCS and Loma Linda historically accept most of their students. UCLA actually states that they will not give preference to their post bac. student in the admission process.

BTW: it never hurts to apply. The worse thing that can happen is they refuse to offer you a seat.
 
Has anyone done any of these programs? How competitive is the application process?
 
I think if you have a gpa around 2.8-3.0 with some good dental experience you'll have a shot to get into one of the post-bacc programs. I know a few people that went through it . They tend to pick minorities though
