Post Dec. 1st interviews?

I just got my first post-Dec. 1st interview request, from U. of Washington....has anyone else started getting interview dates that are scheduled in Decemeber? Are you planning on going or do you think it's a waste since most of the spots have already been filled?? I'm torn 'cause I think I'd love Washington yet by that time I'll hopefully already have acceptances from other schools and may not feel like investing the time/money to travel to the West Coast again......just curious what anyone else might be planning on doing/or has done in the past in such situations?
