Okay so here is my situation. I have received 11 interview invitations this semester but for some reason (I don't know why), I only scheduled to have two of my interviews before December 1st. Probably because my interview at UF went very well or so I thought (I haven't been contacted by them yet but I am keeping my fingers crossed because it is my top choice and I am a Florida resident :xf:). Anyways, I got accepted to UMDNJ today and I wouldn't mind going there but I would also like to go to some other interviews to explore my options. Now, the rest of my interviews are after December 1st.

What are my chances of being accepted to one of these dental schools? And how long does it usually take them to notify you if you are accepted?? I have a 3.93 overall GPA (3.85 science GPA) at a very good school and got a 20AA/20TS/19PAT. The remaining interviews that I am considering attending are Maryland, Harvard, U Penn, Nova, and Lecom. Thanks!! 🙄

Very high. I dont know what else to say.

You already got accepted, you prob have more experience that most people

I'm not sure of your chances at each specific school but I know a few people who interviewed after Dec. 1st at some schools in the midwest and got contacted the NEXT day with an acceptance. Best of Luck to ya.

It's hard to say... Admissions at schools are completely unpredictable, so I would give it a couple of weeks and call UF if you haven't heard from them yet to see what's up. The worst case scenario... you send in your deposit to UMDNJ, get accepted to UF later, and then lose out on your deposit to go to our number 1. Sounds good to me lol. If you really couldn't see yourself at UMDNJ, and want to go check out other schools, I would still send in a deposit just in case you aren't accepted to those other schools later on. That way you will still end up being a dentist and not have to figure out what you are going to do for a year while you wait to apply again 🙂 Either way... its a lot of money though to spend 🙁.

Yeah, I think the best thing to do is wait a few weeks and see what happens with UF. My UMDNJ deposit isn't due until the end of December so I'll definitely send that in if things with UF do not look promising or if I get waitlisted. I can see myself at UMDNJ but I would like to at least check out Maryland and Harvard if UF flat out rejects me. I also found some pretty cheap flights to both Baltimore and Boston so it would be manageable for me. For now, I just got to keep my fingers crossed for UF 🙂. I would love to go there since I go there now and love Gainesville.
