Post secondary rejection

Because I pretty much only applied to Texas schools last year I am not so aware of how quickly a school will reject someone post secondary. I was wondering what is the typical turn around time, or will I be waiting for most of the semester wondering if I'm in or out?

Get used to the wait! Most schools just leave you hanging until the spring and then send out rejections in large batches after they have sent out all their interview invitations. I guess it's good because you are still in the active pool (and still have a chance to be invited), but it's REALLY annyoying.
