Potential for surgery?

Hi I am a US IMG student. I was wondering if I had a possible chance of matching into surgery. If anyone can give any insight, that would be great.

Step 1- 238
Step 2 CS- pass

I have to still take step 2 CK. But I do have 3 poster presentations. I also won an award at one of the conferences (if that means anything). However, they were all nonsurgical research projects. I have about 6 months of USCE (Internal Medicine). At this point, I can choose to pursue further USCE in either surgery(possibly 10 months) or IM. I'm just confused as to what my actual chances are. If there are any US IMGs or others who were in a similar predicament, I'd love to hear your opinion.

Im in the same boat as except my i dont have a green card
My step 1 is 239
and all the other steps are left,im trying to get some electives in a few hospitals maybe do 3 months of it.
I only have one case report and ill graduate by may 2019.

i know it sounds yours and my profile looks generic but guys like us do end up matching
