Practical Advice for the Medical School Applicant

Hi,

I liked your article. I'm a re-applicant this year, but I don't remember that part at the end you're talking about. Is it after you've written the personal comment essay? Also, I've been out of school for a year since I decided to take an MCAT prep class after I graduated with my bachelor's and I've been working as a medical technologist in a hospital. Would this be something to include in that last section for anything else you want them to know?

@LilEngineThatCould - "Is there anything else you want the admissions committee to know?” is usually found in some flavor at the end of the secondary application for any given school.

MCAT prep class --> not recommended to include as an activity
Medical technologist --> recommended to include as an activity (not under the "anything else we should know" prompt)

Oh ok, I was confused because my first time around I never got any secondary apps (I was a terrible candidate honestly so no surprise there.)
I will certainly be mentioning my work as a med tech and not the MCAT class as an activity. Just curious about that little section, thanks.

Not sure if this is the right place for this…

Hey guys, I have thoroughly enjoyed reading some of the articles. Over the past week, I have noticed a lot of depressing post and threads over at pre-allo. I have a couple recommendations for future articles if you are guys are willing to hear. It would be nice if one of you authors can write an article on strengthening self-esteem and improving self confidence while maintaining your mental health during the semester. Also perhaps an article on study tips and tricks for the pre-reqs. I think a lot of people at pre allo would be able to benefit from these articles. Here are just a couple threads from the past few days alone just to show you what I am talking about:

I agree we definitely need some more uplifting articles. If not you, then maybe you know some of the other authors who might be able to pitch in
