Practice in private dental office

Are you people alowed in your countries to get student practice in private dental offices as part of your studies. Of course under close supervision of experienced dentist.

I don't think it's uncommon for Senior dental students to do short rotations in clinics in the area, but to just walk into a private practice and ask to do some work? Nooo.
