Practice Medicine in UK if a Canadian MD?

Hi,

I'm currently a medical student at an Ontario university. Im planning on graduating and doing my residency in Canada....after that, I'm thinking of moving to the UK to work for a couple of years, and then perhaps coming back to Canada...

Does anyone know what types of requirements need to be met in order to work in the UK as a doctor who is a Canadian citzen and has had all training done in Canada?

I visited the General Medical Council for information, but its pretty vague in terms of instructions for non-EU graduates..

any info is greatly appreciated

You need to do PLAB's first and then register with the GMC, then you can apply for jobs directly at the hospitals, the bmj.com has a listing of all jobs.
