Hey I'm just trying to belong 😳
When u have no acceptances, what do u do? 🙁

Diggin up my Plan C, since I'm already on Plan B, wow the many paths to a destination 😛

i can sympathize. i'm in the same place. still searching for my elusive plan c and trying to keep my momentum. will you apply again right away? not sure what to do about this. seeing as i took two years off between the first cycle and the second i'm pretty anxious to get the ball rolling again.

Lotanna...I feel your pain. I hate to see a fellow Michiganian down. 🙁
I have definitely taken the circuitous route...in fact, am still on that winding road. I can't remember, is this your first app cycle?? This is my 2nd time around. Well, dont despair, you will get to your goal...you might just have to take the scenic route, which IMO is a pretty good ride. 🙂 🙂 🙂
I debating on whether or not to reapply if I dont get in this year...I am getting old, you know. Ive exhausted plans B-D and thinking about plan E. Que sera, sera...I guess 😀 😀 😀
Good luck in finding Plan C!!! You'll do great!

Still Waitlisted in 4 States,
Spin

The need for me to belong is strong, as well, seeing as I still don't belong to any Class of 2007 myself. but, as many have said before, and as I'm saying now, don't give up yet. at least not until the fat lady singth.

LOL,Misery loves company

I started applyin fall 00, after i took the august mcat but once i got my miserable MCATscores then, I stopped, moved on to plan B, which was gettin a masters in epidemiology after grad (may 01). Did that from AUg 01-graduatin this summer.
Took Aug 02 mCAT, my scores were borderline, only thing good was verbal.
Now plan C, work with my degree, retake mCAT in AUg(try examcrackers material), and reapply this yr. I believe whats holding me back is my MCAT score

I'm still young, so that seems to be the only good thing about this whole thing. 🙄

Wish u guys the best of luck, its still early in march, so still time, hang in there!!

i'm asking this b/c it was a michigander that started this thread... but have you guys heard the song "plan B" by wally pleasant? (michigan artist)

this thread reminded me of it. 🙂

No, I haven't heard that Wally Pleasant song, but "Stupid Day Job" had a very strong influence on me! I quit mine, went back to school and now I'm studying for the MCAT!

He's so funny. 😀

he played at the espresso royale here in e.lans a couple weekends ago and did "plan B" then. he used to play lots in a2 when i was down there a few years back for ugrad. 😀

Let me also chime in here. I am not applying this year but I applied last year and was waitlisted. I am retaking the mcat this april and hopefully I will be a more competitive applicant.

I graduated in 2000 and right now I am in grad school earning my MPA and also working. I certainly appreciated the unintendedtime off that I have gotten.
Like they say "it ain't over until the phat lady signs"

But I thot u were goin to Bush Baby Intl? 😕
Plus YOU promised me an admission!!!!!!! 😳

LOL, goodluck girl, 1 month left till crunch time, If I have to retake it, I'll try using examcrackers stuff, since Kaplan/PR just isnt helpin me with the sciences. I see ur using it, from MCAt forum

Stay focused, I appreciate having another degree to my belt as well, cant go wrong with that, plus I dont think mentally I was ready for med schl. My studyin habits sucked big time, it takes an experience like this to really make a personmore humble and appreciative.

By the way, Naija needs doctors, but I'm already broke now, I'll be darned if I end up being a broke doc 😛
