Pre-DDS options in USA for international trained Dentists

Hi experts,

I am a dentist from India and cleared NBDE part 1 last year (FY13), now preparing for NBDE part 2 and I plan to get into a dental school by FY15, I seek answers to a few questions that can help to strengthen my resume and expose me to US education/dental system. Here is my summarized background –

· Graduated in 2012 and now part time into dental practice in India.

· Spent about 4 months in FY13 in US to prepare and take NBDE part 1.

· Plan to take NBDE part 2 in summer of FY14.

Question 1 – I want to know if there is any course I can take that helps to get into student status (before starting school for DDS) in US and will help towards my DDS, this will also help me to cover the time gap between taking NBDE part 2 and starting school for DDS.

Question 2 – Is there a way I can apply and study under a US dental practitioner as a student apprentice.

I will really appreciate if anyone can please guide me towards the light, I thank you in advance.
