For most of the DO schools, most require a letter of recommendation from a pre-health committee or two science faculty members in place of it.

Did anyone submit letters other than from the pre-health committee?

I'm in a bad situation, due to a technicality, that may not allow me to use my pre-health committee.

I never spoke to anyone at my health professions office... I asked my profs for letters. Quite frankly, I don't know what value the HPO letters have. In my school you meet with them a couple of times then they suddenly feel they can write a letter for you. If they write a letter for anyone who walks in the room with decent GPA I rather not have one from them. A letter from a prof that really knows you is worth a lot more.... Wait a second! I forgot my opinion doesn't count! Well, you know what I meant. :)

Sure, my school (UCSD) doesn't have one.
