  1. Pre-Medical
Hi, I was wondering if it was possible to go pre-med but also be pre-pharmacy for a backup? So when end of junior year rolls along, one is able to apply to both medical and pharmacy doctors. I don't even know if this is possible but was just wondering...

Ummm, why would you want to do that????

Yet, i think the requirements are similar enough so it is possible, you just have to take the PCAT and the MCAT

yeah it's possible.

you take almost the same classes.

chem, ochem, bio, physics, anatomy... except for med, you have to take additional science classes.

yeah, take PCAT and MCAT.

I don't understand why you want to do both...
Research both the careers, maybe shadow a doc or ask a pharmacist about his job.
This should make it clear for you.

Good luck !

I think the pre-reqs are similar, so you could plan for both in this way. But from now until it comes time to apply, you should try to figure out which career suits you best. There are numerous pros and cons to each field and you should gain experience in both to see which fits you. Best of luck
