I think I just wasted $50 yesterday to take the pre-Naplex online. I have a feeling that it was based on the old Naplex because it wasn't difficult. Other than getting the look and feel of the test (and alleviating my anxiety:scared:), it seemed like a waste of money. Anyone else take this exam?

I kind of agree - it is a pretty easy test for $1 per question. But, I was feeling pretty anxious about the Naplex so I took the pre-naplex and felt better. After taking the actual Naplex, I do think it helps you realize how questions are going to be asked, and if you need to change the way you study or if you need to focus more in a particular area. However, for being such a big deal of a test, I didn't feel too overwhelmed about the actual Naplex, either. :luck:

So how does the format of pre-NAPLEX different from the practice exam from the ASHP PharmPrep CD? Does anyone know?

I took the pre-naplex about 3 weeks ago. I did so because I was very nervous about taking the Naplex and wanted to see if I even had a chance of passing it.

My pre-Naplex score was more than enough to pass.

I took the real Naplex last week and got my results back a few days ago. My pre-Naplex score was within 10 points of my Naplex score. Other classmates have told me similar things.

Yes it is $1 per question for the pre-Naplex, but in my case not being so worried about the real thing for the next 3 weeks before I took it and the week after I took it was worth every penny.

If you are the type that is confident you will pass then I would'nt bother taking the pre-Naplex.

i'm planning ot take it just to e=relief my anxiety as well, i'm taking the NAPLEX on July 18th, and i'm planning to take the pre-NAPLEX a week before, do you think a week before is a good time or should I take it now to know how to study for NAPLEX..?

Hey Nada, I also took it to relieve anxiety but then felt it was a waste. I take the test on June 25th. I haven't found one UF student who has already taken it. Anyone from your campus, yet?

Study the questions I posted on Pharmer Craig. I'm also looking at Meldrum's pharmacology notes. He always had the most important side effects, etc.

I know of a girl who took it from GNVL campus, she is an intern with my husband and she told him it was hard but doable, she also sent me FLYNN notes and said the super naplex review was great and so many questions were on the test word for word... she said Kaplan calculations are so good to prepare for it..
I wish you all the luck on the 25th!

I took pre-NAPLEX the night before NAPLEX, mostly to see how I would do. I thought it was easy but it was reasonably similar to the real thing. Made me realize a couple things I didn't think would be on the NAPLEX will be there, and so I reviewed them just in time (and sure enough I did get those questions).

I went ahead and took the pre-naplex a few days prior to the actual naplex. I mainly took it to help calm my nerves. It helped me get comfortable with watching my time while I answered the questions. If you feel nervous about taking the naplex, it can't hurt to take the pre-naplex. However, the score for me wasn't completely accurate; but in a good way....I ended up scoring quite a bit higher than it predicted.

Good luck. :luck:

I agree. I scored about 30 points higher than on the pre-naplex. Of course, I hadn't really started studying yet, so it's not surprising. Still it did provide the feel of taking a computerized exam.

just took pre-naplex, and I feel like i'm not ready for naplex this Wednesday, i scored 99... dunno if that is good or bad!!

I scored 20 points higher on the Naplex than the PreNaplex. Don't worry, you are ready. You will be surprised how much you can recall from school. You went to UF and only one person from each class fails each year. You were not at the bottom of the barrel in your class, so that one person will not be you.

Thanks for the encouragement..😛 I hope i will be fine

:luck: I got 87 (61 - 107) on pre-naplex. It would be really bad if I failed the pre-naplex just the night before the actual exam, anyway, I was too nervous about the exam so I had to do it. I got 107 on naplex which I don't think I would have passed without a month of studying.
