Golf is my dad's only hobby and way to relax. When he came back into town, I was shocked to how good he's gotten since he first started. I'm picking it up so I can hang out with him more and have been playing fairly often.

But my hands are sore all the time, especially my pinkies, like I'm hurting the joints of my pinky (chondyloind joint between 5th metacarpal and proximal phalynx). Hands felt weak at one point.

Invest in a pair of gloves. It cuts the strain on the hands in half.

I go to indoor batting cages nearly every weekend and never swing without batting gloves on.

I played a lot of golf as a pre-pharm

I played more golf than ever in Pharmacy School. Thank you USC Note Pool.

If your hand hurts from gripping a golf club, you have a faulty grip. Fix it.

I've caught myself smacking the astroturf ground at the driving range too. I'm sure that has something to do with it.

Why bother practicing if you have to hit off astroturf mat? The club bounces off the mat and masks faulty impacts. Grass range is the way to go... Then again, u probably already knew that.
