I was filling out secondaries, but I realized that some schools do not accept AP credit for their pre-requisite requirements. So, I'm bio major, and I only took 2 general chemistry course credits and one of them is AP credit.

What would happen in this case? If they require at least 2 semester general chem and do not accept AP, am I screwed?

Does this mean an automatic rejection?

If I had known this earlier, I would've taken gen chem I, but it's too late.

Thank you for your advice !!

You can likely take an upper level chemistry course in place of the gen chem requirement, though this is school-dependent. If that's not possible, get in touch with the school and see if the requirement is firm. I would still expect them to complete the pre-reqs, but who knows. You'll probably want to wait to do that until after you're accepted, otherwise it's just pointless.

Let this be a lesson, kids: AP credit is absolutely worthless if not detrimental.

Yeah. I don't think many schools take AP credit.

Can you take a chem class at a CC?

If you want to check other school's policies, this thread is a nice reference.
