Pre residency physical and drug test

Hello ,

was just curious if anyone knew from hearsay or friends when residencies perform drug testing. Is it usually during June or right after match day? More specifically, has anyone ever heard of MCW doing hair tests?

Haha I’m 100% sure they will not do a hair test. There are a lot of issues with it, environmental contamination being #1. Some drugs (cocaine) metabolize in vitro, and no- the residue can’t be washed out if it’s been sitting in the hair for longer than 1 hour.
