Premed at Ut Dallas vs 7 year BS/DO at NSU-KPCOM

Hey guys, I'm currently a high school senior and I'm having trouble deciding on what route I should take for next year.

7 year Bs/Do​

Pros:

• Saves one year and guaranteed admission to med school with low minimum requirements
• decent scholarships for 3 years of my undergrad since I would finish that 1 year early
• I believe the program is also non-binding, but unsure of how that would work if I earn my Bs after my first year of med school

Cons:

• Unsure of the recognition of the medical school and limited future competitive residency options
• The medical school is expensive

Premed UT-Dallas​

Pros:

• Save a lot of money from scholarships
• Parents love Dallas
• good premed program

If you are TX resident you have lot of MD schools and couple of DO schools. Don't make decision based on one year savings.

UT Dallas is quite strong for premed. Maybe if you had a guaranteed MD acceptance I would recommend that, but since it's DO I would go UTD.

There’s tons of UTD students at the TX MD schools. Especially the scholarship community. Go UTD!

No need to do BSDO. By applying to these programs you already know what it takes so fix your shortcoming at Rutgers and aim high.
